If God gave us a Ford car but we could change it to a Chevy it would no longer be a Ford. Likewise, if we could make salvation what we want it to be it would not be salvation. God knows what salvation should be like and He creates it that way. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE.1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
